Covid-19 and the affects it's had on the construction industry.



Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease that is caused by a newly discovered form of coronavirus.

COVID-19 is a respiratory infection that was unknown before the outbreak that started in Hubei Province, China, in December 2019. Other known forms of coronaviruses include Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).


Duties and Responsibilities


Some business operations are restricted under state or territory government public health directions.”

The model Work Health and Safety (WHS) laws require you to take care of the health, safety and welfare of your workers, including yourself and other staff, contractors and volunteers, and others (clients, customers, visitors) at your workplace.

This includes:

  • providing and maintaining a work environment that is without risk to health and safety

  • providing adequate and accessible facilities for the welfare of workers to carry out their work, and

  • monitoring the health of workers and the conditions of the workplace for the purpose of preventing illness or injury.


Duty to our team


We must do what you can to ensure the health and safety of our clients and employees and eliminate the risk of exposure to COVID-19 if reasonably practicable.


Protecting our clients and employees from the risk of exposure to COVID-19 by:

  • working from home arrangements

  • practice physical distancing

  • practice good hygiene (e.g., through workplace policies and ensuring access to adequate and well stocked hygiene facilities)

  • requiring workers to stay home when sick, and

  • cleaning the workplace regularly and thoroughly.


Doing what we can to stay safe

Whilst we work remotely from our home office, we're working together to ensure a safe delivery of all our past, current and future projects.


Communication is sought through email, virtual zoom meetings and telephone conversations. Where possible, site visits are limited to those who are vaccinated and comply with NSW Health Safety Orders.
